Indeed, FERMACELL dry floating covering floors improve both the airborne sound insulation and the impact sound insulation of floors with both renovation and new construction applications. The FERMACELL floor element consists of two FERMACELL gypsum fibre boards which are glued onto each other. The lip joints which arise provide a solid connection between the elements and are resistant to heavy pressure.
FERMACELL floor elements combine strong performances with cost-saving dry assembly method. Depending on the application, the elements are fitted in the factory with an insulation bottom layer of wood fibre, mineral wool, felt, or polystyrene. And so, the 2 E 16 FERMACELL floor element consists of two layers of FERMACELL (10mm) and in between 9mm of felt (total thickness 29mm). The 2 E 32 FERMACELL floor element also consists of two plates of 10mm and in between 10mm mineral wool (total thickness 30mm).
