BJELIN

Thanks to our outstanding, patented Woodura® technology from Välinge Innovation, Bjelin hardened wood floors are three times as hard as traditional wood flooring.

They’re also highly water, scratch and dent resistant. The normal expectancy is that these floors will not need to be renovated on a later stage in their lifespan. The surface is so hard, it is not likely to be worn, and this is due to the versatile wood powder technology, Woodura®.
Under Woodura®, the powder mix includes wood powder, preferably recycled from the existing production. Hardwood flooring manufacturing has advanced so much in the last few years that floors can easily last a lifetime of normal everyday wear and tear. Apart from the super strength and durability of the floor, the high-density and moisture-resistant core also minimise the risk of swelling, which further adds to the product’s durability.

When looking at the process itself, you see how our innovative, patented process involves fusing a thin sheet of wood onto a wood fibre core through a unique powder mix layer. By heating and pressing the wood and wood powder layers, it’s possible to squeeze every grain of goodness from each oak, walnut, or ash tree. This process has evolved over the last few years and continues to develop.

Our product has another main advantage, as it has ecological benefits. Thanks to our Woodura® technology, less wood is needed. The unique process of heating and pressing the wood and wood-powder layers results in up to 10 times more flooring from the same amount of lumber. In addition to this, all waste is recycled to create wood powder, which is then used in our Woodura® process. Also, most hardwood flooring is manufactured in such a way that it is CO2 negative.
