Profilpas, rich history in flooring solutions
Profilpas was founded in 1976 by Franco Pasquali in Padua, Italy, as a profile manufacturer company.

"In the 2000s, a solid segment was added, namely adjustable floor support systems”, Stefano Lorenzetto looks back. Stefano has been working at Profilpas since 2023 and proudly shows us the chronology that illustrates the rich history of the company. "Our current product PP level DUO MAXI is the result of years of research and development, which still continues today to make the product even better.” Besides, our guest speaker Stefano earned his stripes in the floor support systems segment for indoor floors. "The technology is similar and I now put that experience at the disposal of Profilpas' R&D team."
Further internationalization made Profilpas appear on the radar of Mapei Group, which incorporated the manufacturer as a subsidiary in 2022. Profilpas products, including floor profiles and floor supports, are distributed through an extensive commercial network of agencies and resellers. The products find their way to both the public and private markets.

PP level DUO MAXI, flagship of adjustable floor support systems
Within the adjustable floor support systems segment, Profilpas stands out with a new product, namely the adjustable floor support PP level DUO MAXI. "This is an evolution of its predecessor PP level DUO," Stefano clarifies.
PP level DUO MAXI consists of a polypropylene base and comes in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large with a height of up to 150 millimeters. "Thanks to the extensions, however, that maximum height can increase considerably, reaching over one meter” says Stefano, pointing to the maximum load capacity of at least 1,000 kilograms per floor support in the event of a static, vertical load.
A striking addition to the PP level DUO MAXI is the “fixed head ring” (add a full stop .) With this removable part of the base you can choose between self-levelling head, which allows you to compensate for slopes up to 5%, or fixed head directly during installation, by inserting the “fixed head ring” between the screw and the head (add a full stop .).
In which situations are Profilpas' adjustable floor support systems used?
Stefano doesn't have to think long about that. "Our flexible solution is a welcome guest in many types of projects," he says. "Rooftops, squares, terraces, balconies and areas around swimming pools are some examples of places and situations where our adjustable floor support systems have already been used."

Technical product data
Together with Stefano, we look at the main technical features of the adjustable floor support systems PP Level Duo Maxi. This product made of recyclable plastic material is designed for raised outdoor floors such as terraces or pathways. The floor support is compatible with different floor types such as ceramic tiles and decking.
Pedestals have excellent resistance to high mechanical pressure and extreme weather conditions, such as temperatures from -40 °C to +75 C°. Moreover, drainage holes ensure that there is no stagnation of rainwater.
A quick assembly is possible with one of three heads: self-levelling head for ceramic floors, crisscross head for aluminium joists, universal L-head for joists. The floor support absorbs structural movements to prevent cracks and fractures and promote air circulation between the floor and waterproofing layers.

Do you only produce and sell adjustable floor systems?
No, Profilpas does much more than that, says Stefano Lorenzetto: "At Profilpas, we don't just sell products, we closely follow up on the customer's projects. Calculations are an important part of our process. Together with our customers, we analyze the different areas of the project. This allows us to make a calculation of the most appropriate solution with adjustable floor supports. In addition, we also offer our software that allows the customer to make his own calculations."
Profilpas also offers numerous accessories for various types of projects. The Italian manufacturer offers, for example, accessories for a vertical closure, ceramic or colour-coated aluminium closure. Furthermore, Profilpas has developed rubber mats that are either installed under the floor support or between the pedestal and the floor, with levelling and anti-noise function" explains Stefano.

Profilpas can also provide accessories for the installation itself of the floor supports, such as an adjustment key as well as a metal insert for screwdriver drill.
Clearly, Profilpas is leading the way in the world of adjustable floor systems.
